Doesnt matter for plates that arent calibrated. Theres "45" lbs plates in every gym that range from 43-47 lbs.

The dish soap idea is rad as hell, thanks for the tip

That spray paint technique is the coolest part of this video. I'll definitely be trying that out

That loss is so insignificant that makes me happy the restore process is perfectly doable.

That’s pretty dope, I restore weight plates too. What’s the most inexpensive way to get the rust off you think? Besides a steel brush?

Bruh... That's a nasty remix on the plate! I def never thought of doing something as dope as this... This has to be done. Instant follow from ya boy.

you need a harbor freight paint sprayer and high quality clear coat that can uphold through other weights hitting the plate, i like what your doing that plate looks bad ass instant follow 💯

The rusty plate was around 20.12 kg. After cleaning, it was 20.01 kg, so almost exactly as it should be. Painted it is 20.09, so a tiny bit heavier than the plate should be.

That plate looks awesome at the end. Love the 80s esthetic.

I never would have considered customizing my plates lmao

Evaporust might be expensive, but you can re-use it over and over and over again. It takes awhile to fully stop working.

My favorite gym I ever attended used to weigh all their non-calibrated plates on the same scale and write the actual weight on the sides. It wasnt so big a deal when you had one or two 45s per side, but it was huge for the folks who were at five, six, seven plates.

People sometimes underestimate how heavy paint can get

At first I thought Project Farm decided to start testing weights for a second...

Actually rust weighs more than iron so you probably didnt lose any compared to the original before it rusted.

That's so cool how you restored something rusty into a one of a kind weight. Awesome job 👏 👍 🙌 ❤

I loved the neon colors alone. Way to make working out more fun.

I never thought that cleaning weights would take off any significant mass, the rust is what's eating the weight! Goobers.

Still, this was awesome to see the difference measured out. And I love the colors
