Learn the basics of implementing an HDRI in V-ray for the lighting of interior scenes. This tutorial will go over the creation, and basic settings of a Vray HDRI map used in conjunction with the Vray dome light. This can be a highly effective, accurate and actually simple way to light your interior architectural scenes. It also gives you a lot of versatility, since you can easily change the entire mood of your image by simply changing the HDRI image.
A lot of this tutorial is dedicated to the principles of lighting, how to use materials in conjunction with lighting to set the overall mood, etc. I will demonstrate how to use material overrides to really determine the overall lighting of our scene before we move forward with the tedious work of detailing out all the textures.
This is a great tutorial to help you integrate HDRI lighting with Vray dome lights into your workflow.
In the video we will also discuss essential settings of the V-Ray dome light.
Remember, this is just one lecture from a larger course all about advanced architectural interior renderings using 3ds Max and V-Ray.
