I am using two C9105AWI-EWC for my home network. The long boot time is the only disadvantage I have found so far. It takes almost 15 minutes to get AP available after the electricity is powered up. It is because of my Cisco POE switch which enables POE after the full boot process. So Switch must boot first then POE is enabled and then APs start booting.

The APs perform well considering the 10W power draw. I have 3 in my house. They also JUST WORK for the normal enterprise features like Radius SSID auth and multi ssid with multi vlan. The Unifi has a MUCH better management dashboard and the hardware isn't bad actually HOWEVER its no more than Small business or Prosumer for use. Enterprise is a nogo.

I love cisco AP's, I refuse to use them from the cloud. My current is an older N AP stand alone unit... I hear you can upgrade them from lightweight to autonomous and then manage locally, but I don't know how fast you can do that.. it's just a tftp boot to upgrade

Cisco Business Dashboard, the management platform is utter garbage from my attempt to use it for my home lab. My home lab has multiple catalyst switches, Cisco WAP, ASA firewall and 3900 series router. It's not intuitive and even once it had finally discovered all my products via SNMP & SSH credentials I serious struggled to use it. And that was before it completely filled the disk partition I had the thin provisioned VM running from. Having used the embedded controller in Cisco 9000 series enterprise WAP's going straight to the CBW150ax software interface or the mobile app is going to be the go for these. I still want to get the CBW150ax-Z once they are available to move my home Wi-Fi off UniFi.
