Million Monk Strategy?

In this video I show you an interesting 1v1 that develops very differently for both players. One player decides to rely on monks, and the other expects it. Is expecting it enough when playing standard, or will the holy monks be too much to stop?

26:10 there's a sad face blinking in the minimap, which probably sums up red's feelings this game.

T90 : imagine how helpless you feel against this.
Me : you know, I feel helpless whenever the enemy makes army

I feel like this is something your older brother does to you after you’ve just started playing and he’s a veteran. No mercy. 😂

Hey T90, I actually enjoy seeing the chat and you interacting with them a lot in your stream vids! I work a busy schedule, so I can’t watch the streams often, but being able to see the chat and you interacting with them and stuff makes me feel like I’m not missing out.

Fire_de is from Germany and was also a professional Warcraft 3 - Player. I think he played for SK Gaming in like 2005ish

I'd appreciate a visual mod that replaces monesteries with circuses and monks with clowns. That would be... suitable. X)

Fire's light cav needing to jump on Modri's monk army early is just like Star Craft Brood War when Zerg and Protoss need to just throw unit after unit at Siege Tank armies to keep them from getting too huge to stop.

Red had so long to prepare after seeing that many massed monks, and he made 18 light cav? Against 20-30 monks + pikes + siege? Thank goodness he used all that extra time to make more villagers and boom more

Red didn't optimise his eco at all. He had no idea what was going on. I was hoping for a second castle which he could have easily placed with his excess stone and treb the monks out of their range or something.
He was clearly bamboozled by that many monks.

Awww, don't leave out twitch chat!
Knowing that the cartoon terrier of possible demonetization is snapping its teeth in the corner of the video makes the experience just that much more "interactive"!
Plus we get warnings for T90 being blind, farms, salmon, and strategic 3 archery range islands!

This is exactly how i played it when this game first came out, a squat of Monks with light cav and a trebuchet - worked wonders

Realizing at the end of the game that they both had the same civ with this outcome was mind-blowing

I couldn't help thinking that building mass skirmishers against mass monks would have been a better choice especially if you have the better economy. After all, they can only convert one unit each and skirmishers are less effective against themselves than light cavalry are.
