Our first experience with Mtn.House was biscuits and gravy. My wife and I easily got full on one bag and I admit, I'm kinda a big fella.

I shop for MH and watching Peak Refuel on E-bay, Amazon. and Mountain House " Home " for stuff. I've bought pretty much most of it across the board. This bucket is NOW advertised from $119 to $199 - A few months back I paid $88 at MH home site with free shipping. Don't get screwed. Keep in mind many of these buckets toss in the cheap meals like granola and such so you aren't getting full priced items. On their site Entrees range from 10 to 15 a pouch. Sizes 2 to 3, 2024 yep times r changing - think I paid, 15 for 5 serving pouches and around 7 or 8 for 2.5 servings which are now 3 and 2 servings in size.
Eat good - great stuff stashed BUT outrageously expensive . Shop around. At 88 bucks I paid $8.80 pouch, however 2 were granola and chicken fried rice and spaghettis are 2 entrees used to bring the price down.

mt house doesnt add crap like powdered milk just to add to the servings in the box, Always look at what is in the package and see if you can get the stuff cheaper

6 or 7 pounds, it says 3lbs on the front, although that's just the food weight.

Pretty silly putting it in the budget there's hardly any food there I mean you could easily eat the whole thing yourself and a day and a half.
