Ghazoua Ltaief, a member of NET-MED Youth in Tunisia, talks about the importance of youth civic engagement. The interview was filmed during the 9th UNESCO Youth Forum (Oct. 26-28, 2015, Paris), whose theme this year was Young Global Citizens for a Sustainable Planet and where Ghazoua was one of the inspirational speakers. Ghazoua shares the experience of her organization SAWTY (within and beyond NET-MED Youth) in accompanying youth throughout democratic transition by initiating them to civic and political life.

The forum brought together over 500 young women and men from all over the world to focus on issues related to Climate Change and the post-2015 Sustainable Development agenda.

NET-MED Youth is a project implemented by UNESCO and funded by the European Union. It aims at mainstreaming youth issues and priorities across national decision-making and policy implementation in eastern and western Mediterranean countries.
