Here you have five short medieval pieces i think sound pretty well.

Subscribe & leave a like for more guitar videos.

0:00 Quen a omagen da Virgen (CSM 353)
1:00 Beowulf - Gently as She Goes
1:30 Como somos per consello (CSM 119)
2:25 Santa Maria Strela Do Dia (CSM 100)
2:55 Santa Maria Amar (CSM 7)

I know that the beowulf one isn't strictly medieval but i thought that it could fit with the dynamic of the arrangement.

------------------------------------------
The Cantigas de Santa Maria ("Canticles of Holy Mary"; Galician: ) are 420 poems with musical notation, written in the medieval Galician-Portuguese language during the reign of Alfonso X of Castile El Sabio (1221–1284)(Spain) and often attributed to him.

It is one of the largest collections of monophonic (solo) songs from the Middle Ages and is characterized by the mention of the Virgin Mary in every song, while every tenth song is a hymn.

As you can suppose CSM means Cantiga Santa Maria nº X .

I love how you sort of droned the A string on the first song. It sounds kind of like a Medieval hurdy-gurdy

Wow, just discovered this video. Has really gotten me out of a rutt just noodling. Especially the last piece with the G string. I improv with some Am and C chords (very dissonant) and noodle around the fretboard with the G bass - wow - very cool. Thanks.

This is wonderful. I'm looking for this kind of medieval "mood", can you suggest me something? Are there any specific instruments or strings needed? Or is it just the use of your hands? Thank you!

Learned how to play Cantiga Santa Maria when I was 9 back in in my hometown in Spain. But I stopped playing guitar. Now I’m 18 and I have finally found this song omg
