Possessed candle already does its job, it alerts you when an entity is coming when it blows out, my idea for the potion is that it can actually be used on a crucifix, not yourself. Once its used on a crucifix, it turns red, but only for a minute. If you crucify a boss entity like seek, figure, or grumble, they actually get crucified. Same goes with entities you cant crucify like timothy glitch hide snare and stuff. It can also work on rooms entities. If you crucify a boss entity they will be gone for a whole minute, but then they can reappear like for example seek coming out from the ground of figure getting formed by meat puddles. After a minute, the crucifix turns to its original color. And yes, if you use it without a crucifix in your inventory, it acts like the barrel of starlight but 2 times better. Also to find it, you can find them very rarely in vine chests and locked chests. Vials are rare, bottles are rarer and barrels are the rarest. And also the type of potion you use on a crucifix affects how long boss entities are gone for. Vials make the boss entity disappear for 10 seconds, bottles make them dissapear for 30 seconds, and barrels make them dissappear for 1 minute oh and also bottles can make the mishevious rift where you can store a third item
Edit: also glitch won't be crucifiable cuz he ain't canon and a failsafe

Its a perfect concept tho
my idea is instead of notifying you using badge achievement, you will have a heart attack and start losing the amount of health for a few seconds when the entity is near
