That is the best CNA interview session. The CNA host had invited the involved parties and gave them sufficient time to share their facts. She further injected thought-provoking elements to excite the interviewees to share more insight on the issue.
Great job, CNA; you guys have done a much better job than those so-called international hosts from Bloomberg, BBC and CNN.

The point for every country related to the foreign debts is that: With IMF and World Bank, it is one way direction. With China, it is two way benefits. When one can not repay, IMF and World Bank will change the regime, whereas China will just take over the assets for the repayment. So which one is better for a country to borrow?

China has got money to invest in Maldives. When you have money you have options. What has India got?

Maldivians started to get distant from India after Modi but Maldivians still have a lot of love for South India, and its an old historical relationship. Its mainly Modi and Hindu extrimists and their attempt to overly influence that is causing the drift.

Also, Maldives have had relations with China since far back. The first social housing was introduced to Maldives with Chinese aid. Maldivians love a lot of things about China and wants to have balance relationship with the two ancient civilizations. But BJP is making India look worse and worse.

This will go on forever. China obviously has more leverage with all the countries in the region but none of them can snap ties with India. I mean no matter how powerful you are, there's a limit to how much you can conquer. The belt and road intiative is just one example. India is never going to be China, but it will always remain a major power in the region. So whether it's the Maldives it Nepal, no one can completely align themselves with China. Anyone who thinks otherwise has read no history or politics. You have to be a Pakistan to desperately align yourself with China because India isn't an option.

the Indian professor forgot to mention that even though the custom duty revenue was not there anymore, it will boost import of cheaper goods from China leading to more profits to local vendors and thus more tax revenues.

Geopolitics aside, actually a simple choice. Does a poor developing country like the Maldives one day want to become like India or rather like China?😂

Never go to India to invest in any business again. By the way, the Maldives is not a second territory of India, nor is India the suzerainty of the Maldives. People will always remember how Sikkim was annexed by India.

China and India are 2 rising Asian giants. China is rising in the fields of AI, semiconductors, EVs, quantum computing, green-tech etc. While india's rise is even more spectacular, on the World Hunger and Happiness Indexes 😂

At least the host, unlike her previous videos, appears to be neutral in these recent interviews. Please keep this up. Thank you.

It's inevitable that Maldives 🇲🇻 will be submerged under the ocean water due to rising sea levels.
- China, the biggest contributor to the event, won't come to help.
