Thanksgiving Day Turkey Lumpia

Because after making a traditional roast turkey, I asked myself “what if I could get the whole family involved in the turkey making process?“ and “what if cooking the turkey only took a few minutes to make as opposed to three hours?”

I really like this idea because it seems to put a lot less pressure on what is often times the most tedious thing to make with a high possibility of mediocrity. So using the traditional turkey spices along with some vegetables that I chopped in the food processor, I put together a bunch of lumpia and not that much time at all.

This could be something that is very fun for the entire family to do.

Lumpia with leftover turkey was how I did mine. A lot of bean sprouts, onions, and carrots. Mmmm

Well, that's the point of cooking lumpia for Filipino parties. Serving more than enough for everyone with extras for everyone to take home and eat later. That's is the true meaning of lumpia. THANKS for this wonderful idea: Turkey Lumpia. 🇵🇭

Here in the Philippines we actually use circle, thin lumpia wrappers that are made with this big heated pans and they just slap a slab of sticky dough which then forms the wrapper.
Then, the circle is folded with whatever is inside to make a lumpia.
