1. What is the Free Grace Movement?

Do we need to persevere to the end of our lives in order to live eternally with God? The heart of the Free Grace movement as compared to Calvinism, Arminianism, etc.

Free grace is the teachings of Jesus in the bible. If you believe and trust in him. You will NEVER perish! We all know what never means.

lol some people on here are saying" of if you believe in jesus and keep sinning are you saved" HAHAHA...everyone keeps sinning, practically speaking that is...a real born from above Christ is not under the law...and no law=no sin...that's in romans...sin is transgression of the law...1 john chapter 3...so a believer can't sin spiritualy speaking that is...there inner man is perfect...Hebrews 10:15...so every real believer "goes and sins no more"....sin no more=forgiven...its a declaration of being forgiven forever...jesus told that woman she was saved and forgiven when he told her to "go and sin no more"....that was not a moral instruction....lol it was a declaration of her salvation....you need spiritual eyesight to understand the text or else its just a bundle or works.

Yes believe in him, through that belief you accept the holy spiritt and go through a sanctification process. As you seek god, you will sin no more. As your relationship grows and your love for god grows you can resist sin, Christ giving you the strength to but you have to choose him. Practicing choosing Christ over sin can take time but if you pick him. He will change your heart. My hearts still changeling. I have much more growing to do.

I recently heard a Calvinist argue that John 3:16 is not translated correctly. I don't know what the exact challenge is but, it has to do with the "whosoever" in the text.  I'm wondering if this has been addressed by GES? Anyone heard this before?

Did you not notice that the very scripture you used shows that the ones being rejected were ones who had done great works in His Name? Perhaps because they didn't have the real FAITH in Christ's work on the cross alone. I think you proved their point.

Yes, but one has to believe. Truly believe. Not just an intellectual knowledge but a heart felt belief. And if we truly believe should not our actions follow? Out of true belief our "fruit" should show. How can one truly believe and then go on living as before? I don't think that is possible for a true believer. Once I truly believed then and only then did my actions change. I professed a belief when I was 16 but did not truly believe until I was 49. Now my life "shows" it.

To believe in Jesus means not only to believe in His existence, but ALSO to obey Him. John 14:15. So this is why repentance is important. Because if you truly love Jesus you will repent and try to obey Him. But if you keep disobeying Him you do not love Him.

There are a lot of people who believe in the grace of god and still live with moral values and beliefs. Just because you’re spreading the message of Grace doesn’t mean that we are excusing all bad behaviour

This is an unbelievable heresy. It denies the very teachings of Jesus Christ. It ignores passages like Hebrews 12:14 that says, "Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord." This movement objects to obedience, sanctification, and perseverance as signs that a person has genuine salvation. Stay away from these people.

If Salvation is found only through belief and faith that Jesus is the way than why such a narrow gate? Why would a simple belief prove “difficult”?

When Jesus proclaims “depart from me I never knew you” was not their works rooted in such a simple belief? Why even do such works as these if not rooted in the belief that Jesus is the way, truth and life?

Some people are teaching this dangerous Gospel. Yes we are saved by Grace alone but it includes the whole New Testament and all that Christ taught. Yes it is all part and parcel of salvation. We are born again if we develop a intimate personal relationship w/our Lord. So Christ wont say "I never knew you". (Math 7:21-23). When one excepts the gift of salvation. This has gotten to be ridiculous semantics to be saved. I guess we may as well throw out the book of James. It's understood we do these things, repent, obey etc. out of love for our Lord. Not to work for salvation. James wrote the book of James because he came across these same issues. That is why there are so many "fake" Christians. Then many fall away because there is no substance to their salvation. That is like John MacArthur saying we can take the mark of the beast and later repent and still be saved (He actually taught that) ( MacArthur also taught The blood of Christ did not save us, look it up) when in fact the scripture teaches against it. If we truly love our Lord, we do all these things. Read James. he says "You say you have faith but have no fruit! I'll show you my works to prove my faith"  (James 2:18),   Was James kidding? Are we not admonished by Holy scripture that "ALL" scripture is given to us unto salvation. To study daily to be approved. To those who persevere and run the good race, to study scripture daily. That not all who call Jesus Lord (As Jesus taught) will enter in? This grace only salvation is throwing out the whole new Testament almost. Be very careful many will come in that day and teach another gospel. Pick up your cross daily (Luke 9:13). Yes The Gospel is "THE GOOD NEWS:!.
