DP Jean-François Hensgens on filming 'Le Fil' with ALEXA 35

DP Jean-François Hensgens, AFC, SBC, relied on ALEXA 35 to bring Daniel Auteuil’s drama “Le Fil” (“An Ordinary Case”) to the screen. After being selected for the Cannes Première section at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, the film is now in theaters. In an exclusive interview with ARRI, Hensgens discusses his love for the ALEXA 35 and his ‘obsession with textures’: “ALEXA 35 with its textural suggestions allows me to shoot with the sensitivity that’s necessary for the shot I’m doing while retaining texture and I don’t have to sacrifice anything for that. And that was a great response for me, so I went for the ‘Nostalgic’ texture.”
