Eric Putkonen talks about the essence of spiritual practice when it comes to overcoming suffering, awakening, enlightenment, self-realization, etc. There are four things to keep in mind. The others go with it, but the most important spiritual practice is self-observation.

This video is one of 200+ videos about nonduality, enlightenment, and living awake and engaged. Eric speaks in a down-to-earth and straightforward style while simplifying concepts of Advaita / nonduality.

I have only recently taken my spiritual practice seriously again and I was finding a really hard time to get back to this habbit of constant self observation. It's really crazy how just by seeing some things behaviour automatically change effortlessly. Thanks again Eric for another great video.

Hello and thank you for your helpful content 🤗 i have a question for everyone: since I started meditating i feel a deep sense of being uncomfortable with 'myself'. Did this happen to anyone?

Hi again Eric, is the idea that I am the body, all thought and mind only?

Hey Eric... I am still confused about something in regards to understanding that is beyond the mind... you say that a learning can happen through the process of seeing... but who is the one who learns? Isn't the Self already perfect and free and not need to learn anything?... so it has to be the mind that is learning, the mind that is understanding, the mind that is gaining some sort of clarity? I don't know if I'm asking this question in the right way. It seems that it's all about getting the mind to settle down so that awareness which is ever-perfect can be uncovered. But then who is the one that needs to see? Who is the one that gains understanding?

Hi Eric, Is it better to spend time focusing on the true self (the I am) or would it be better to spend that time investigating that there is no me, no doer?

Hello Eric, thank you for taking your time to make these videos.
I have a question. Would asking myself any questions while observing myself help this process of getting to know the roots of my thoughts, emotions, behaviours?

The only way to the higher self is through meditation, summoning your reactive mind to reach self actualization simply does not work.
