How-To Get The Town With No Name to Run on DOSBOX (Windows)

I got a request from a few people to let them know where to a) find the DOS version of The Town With No Name and b) what I did to get it to work properly.

Looks like a lot of people are saying the zip file on the myAbandonware site now contains different files. I downloaded them myself and confirmed that they are different. I'm not sure what happened to those files. Maybe someone doesn't like The Town with No Name.

I uploaded my Town with no Name folder to Mediafire. It already has the .cue file from archive.org, so no worries about downloading that. The only thing you will need to change is the file path in the config file.

*** Edit: I'm getting a lot of comments about the files I uploaded not working on Windows 10. I'm reading that Dosbox might have trouble running on Windows 10. I'm still looking in to this. I'll post more as I learn more.

Okay so it seems like some people (myself included) were having a little trouble launching the game because the image file doesn't exist? However, instead of inputting "Town with no name.img", you can try swapping it with the .cue file in the cd folder.
So instead of that line in the autoexec section looking like this:
imgmount d with no name.img" -t cdrom
It will look like this:
imgmount d -t cdrom
After that, (provided that all of your files are in the right place) it should load fine :) hope this helps someone!! thanks for the tutorial :))

Hey! So I've tried to mount the C drive but I can't, I don't know exactly how and im kinda confused on the ingmount d and c mount. Is there a way I can fix this? whenever i put c: in dosbox it says i have to mount it first, so how do i do it?

Whenever I switch the imgmount to Town_with_no_name.cue it always says i need to mount D, drive d does not exist and it wont work can you help me on how to make the voices work

Hi! I have a question: is there a way to get it running on the latest dosbox version? I downloaded it and mounted everything correctly, but when i type town it says "echo off" for a split second and it kind of "refreshes" dosbox and just removes previous commands and the welcome to dosbox thing and just shows the C:\twnoname\twnoname thing. Do i have to change something else in the config file or something?
