In Q2 FY25, Asian Paints reported a sharp 42.4% drop in net profit, landing at ₹694.64 crore, compared to the same period last year. The company, India’s largest paint manufacturer, saw a 0.5% decline in volume in its decorative paints segment in India, with net sales falling 5.3% to ₹8,003.02 crore due to weak demand. Despite domestic challenges, its international portfolio achieved 8.7% revenue growth on a constant currency basis. I think Asian paints should cut down on Paint line .. it’s too confusing for consumers…
Make 1 premium and one budget of each product.
For example premium primer and budget primer.
Premium emulsion/Royale
and budget emulsion (bring every emulsion in apcolite range as low grade emulsions don’t sell )
Premium distemper (budget distempers are just waste, club utsav/tractor and every other distemper into one good so product)
Premium Oil paint (apcolite) and your utsav/tractor/oil paint (club them in one)

And cut down on non weatherproof production. They don’t sell at all.

Bonus to compete with Fevicol’s products change your packing to all transparent and better tag line. Introduce a sub brand like you have used for your kitchen lines “Sleek”.
Just make the line simple for consumers.
You will Thank me in 2 years if you follow this strategy.
