Retinal all the way. I can not tolerate Retinol, it always flares my skin up. I’ve tried so many times over the years, and it never made sense to me that I’d use a product knowing it was “supposed to” irritate my skin. Using a gentle retinal and slowly working my way up in strength has given me much better results! Inflamed skin is aging skin!

As a 60 year old man who never thought about skincare until about a year ago, I am all about maximum results in the shortest amount of time because…ya know…I’m old! I rarely even used sunscreen unless at the beach once a year. That said, I use the highest dose of tretinoin on my face, arms, hands and The Ordinary retinal on my neck. The results have been dramatic and after a year of doing this I swear I’ve taken 10 years off of my face. Friends comment all the time and think I’ve found some sort of fountain of youth. I also read a study that said it was fine to use copper peptides in the same routine as tret…as long as you can tolerate it and only if you wait about 15 minutes after applying CP before tret. That has made a world of difference as well.

I use (and love) adapalene. It’s been absolutely game-changing for my acne!! My skin also looks much smoother. It took me about 9 months to work from retinol, to retinal, to 0.1% adapalene, to 0.1% adapalene every day (well, 6 days per week). My skin just seems so much happier, I wish I’d started sooner!

Hey Rob! For almost 1 year, I've been using and loving Medik8's Crystal Retinal on my face. On my neck and chest, I use Naturium's Retinaldehyde Cream Serum 0.10%. Great video!

Absolutely agree with brands being shady on not disclosing %! Far too many out there & it’s such deceptive marketing & clearly not offering proper quality. Innovative open brands selling retinal at specific % at a great price like The Ordinary & Geek & Gorgeous (and of course MAS🙃) all the way for me! 🙌🏻

Tretenoin...only way to go...some adapalene.I am the only 70 something tanning baby amongst friends with decent skin... saw not much in 30s...Amazing now...very few wrinkles and sun spots...took MONTHS to get used to.

I switched from retinol to retinal more than a year and a half ago. I use the easy to tolerate G&G A-Game 5 or 10, as my mature dry/dehydrated skin is complicated by rosacea which makes my skin sensitive.
