4 player split screen is one of the best things about this game!

This game is honestly fantastic. The team based racing is a lot of fun and a great twist on the old kart racing formula. TSR also runs amazingly well on PC. Even a laptop can run it at 60fps. (Mario Kart and Crash TR are not on PC)

The review mentioned a small roster, and I think that should be a key focus for an update or new edition. If they're playing the field before going all out with this game, I'm willing to give them a pass for that. The Sonic franchise has survived too many waves for a reckless investment.

FINALLY IGN GAVE A MODERN SONIC GAME SOME LOVE

It lacks the racers from their previous games, and some of the hommage tracks that were lovable. But the gameplay seems really tight, possibly the best of the franchise so far.
The fact that it doesn't have OP rubberband items, like Blue Shells makes these Sonic games way better, for me, than the recent Mario Kart games, where it is stressful to be in first place, because you know you will get attacked with a Blue Shell or struck by lightning sometime, which is frustrating, because you keep being bothered by the game attempts to balance the race, just because you are better than the competition.

Wow an actual fair review of the game I'm surprised. It's a pleasant surprise given how everyone one for the most part crapped on this game simply because it was a Sonic game.
