There are three things that I have always speculated about the Dance of the Dragons, 1. The love that Georg has for Daemon meant that unlike Raenyra and Alicent he could keep all his children. 2. Although I do believe. Gerog is quite neutral, I think he has a preference for Raenyra's team and his right. 3 Surprisingly, he never complained about the way they recast Raenyra and Alicent in the series (as far as I know, if you correct me I'd be happy to rethink the latter) so he liked the change. And 4. Maybe he originally wanted Raenyra to be a younger mini Raenys and very much like Rhaegar Targaryen (like what we see in the series), but then he decided to give her more flavor and make her look more questionable
