NATO allies discuss 'growing alignment' of China | DW News

NATO foreign ministers meeting in Brussels for a second day discuss China's seemingly ever-closer ties with Russia as highlighted by Chinese President Xi Jinping's recent visit to Moscow.

The talks, which will also look more generally at the impact on the Indo-Pacific region of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, come after Finland on Tuesday became the 31st member of the Western military alliance.

In light of the Asian focus, the talks are also being attended by representatives from Australia, New Zealand, Japan and South Korea.

The sheer amount of approving and cheering comments by ordinary Russians under videos about the atrocities committed against civilians in Ukraine were no less shocking to Ukrainians than the war itself.
We somehow got used to the war, but the realization of who we have been living next to all this time without even knowing it is still terrifying.
