Jami Gertz, was a kid from Chicago before making her acting debut in 1981 with the film On the Right Track. Over the years, she’s been a part of several pretty iconic movies and TV shows that have not only made her recognizable, but also added to her net worth, even if you didn’t remember her name. During the 1980s, she had classic teenager roles on the tv series Square Pegs and the movies Endless Love, Less than Zero, Sixteen Candles and then finally The Lost Boys. Then in the 1990s, she showed up on Seinfeld in the season 5 episode "The Stall" [insert clip]. She played one of Jerry's many girlfriends who just so happens to be a phone sex operator and she just can't "spare a square" of toilet paper for Elaine in the restroom. Then unfortunately, she passed on the role of Rachel on Friends, but ended up landing a key role in the 1996 summer blockbuster Twister, where she played the third wheel to Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton’s characters, and spouted this famous line from the film [insert clip]. She followed that up with a recurring role on ER in 1997 and later her very own sitcom called “Still Standing” which aired from 2002 through 2006. So, you’ve seen her on both the big and small screen, and maybe you’ve even caught a glimpse of her courtside at an NBA game. But did you know that Jami Gertz just happens to be the richest actor on the planet today?

I met her numerous times at a hotel i worked in. She was so intelligent and kind and was a great mom. She took no bunk from her kids and was a disciplinarian. No sign of ego either!❤❤❤❤❤❤

I had a job at State Farm Arena in Atlanta for over 20 years in Guest Experience. Jami and/or Tony are good people and helped the Arena Employees in 2020 during the lockdown. Either one of them is at Every Hawks home game (I no longer work at State Farm Arena) Thanks for Sharing.

More than just the money, this marriage would be a great example of a couple truly sharing a life together. And understanding one anothers goals & dreams and to do what it takes to see each other succeed.

I clicked on this ONLY because the title wasn't clickbait, and actually gave the answer. Thanks for that.

Jamie was always interesting in the way she stood out in a very unassuming manner.

She still is the beautiful girl Frances from the movie Crossroads, she broke Eugene’s heart, gave him the blues when she left him early one morning and headed out to California to become a dancer. ✌️

My two favorite movies with Jamie Gertz is Cross Roads with Ralph Macchio and Quick Silver with Kevin Bacon. Both underrated movies and worth viewing.

Wow, I would have never thought she would become so rich. Even more important than the money is the long relationship with her husband and 4 children. Truly rich indeed.

Look into how many of the private equity firms make their money. It makes them extremely rich while making everything unaffordable for the middle classes. They do things like buying up every plumbing firm in an entire region and then double the prices of every job, and if anyone says, "that sounds expensive", they say, "ask around any of the guys around, that's what such a job costs". What they fail to mention to the home owner is all of these different businesses are owned by the same company. They do this across different kinds of business segments and trades.

There are stories (video interviews online) of small businesses who try to compete with them and take them on business wise by offering fair prices and not selling out to them, so the private equity firm finds a way to drag them through the courts in the most litigious and ruthless manner to try to destroy them.

Private equity needs sensible regulation. The marketplace is a good thing, but greedy people will find ways to abuse any system.
