Curious how the 135mph plate 'read' wasn't shown. The plate was captured but was it correct? I can capture a plate with my cell phone but that doesn't mean it'll interpret the characters correctly.

The conditions could not have been more perfect for this test. Try it at night, in the rain, with a dirty plate that is partially obstructed by a trailer hitch ball.

The 4k camera is nice but the wide angle lens takes away from the useful detail especially if the tag isnt picked up or it is read incorrectly. Keep in mind that also requires agencies pay for the ALPR functions as an additional cost not included with the camera purchase.

Now that's some tech the big cities need! One question though. What if a plate comes in as stolen, but the ALPR pings the plate correctly but from a different state? Will it know?

Without an image of the person driving at that speed, the plate isn't useful for a crime. City's want the money of course, so it will wind up being a civil matter=no image of the lawbreaker, civil ticket to the owner. Seem fair?
