Hello Tony! First of all thank you for your reviews about Kuala Lumpur. I went to your country and found that Toronto kinda similar to Kuala Lumpur due to the diversity. I likes your country and definitely will be there again. Do enjoy your stay! Anyway, the one you mentioned as a police officer was not a police but a security guard and they are foreigners who working here as security guard.

That was not a local police as what you mentioned, the person with white/blue uniform was a private security guard.

For near your hostel, try Asam Laksa Petaling Street for Asam Laksa. Restoran Lai Foong for Beef Noodles, Char Kuey Teow and Lala (Clam) noodles. Mee Tarik (Pulled handmade noodles) Restoran also serves some delicious chinese muslim food. A little further to Jalan Tun H S Lee, you can get Beef Ball Noodles from Soong Kee .

For Bukit Bintang, try Hameediyah for Nasi Kandar (Indian mixed rice). Mon Chinese Beef Roti at Pavilion food court, Restoran Chee Meng for Chicken Rice. There is also Alor Corner Nasi Lemak but they only open in the mornings.

If you visit Kampung Baru, you can get Malay cuisine here. Nasi Lemak from Wanjo (don't forget beef or chicken rendang). Nasi Kerabu, Nasi Dagang and Laksam from Kak Som. Satay and Ramly Burger stalls opens in the evenings.

Denmark (Danish) never occupied our country. It was the Netherland (Dutch) after Portugal (Portugues).

You should try variety of Malaysian kuih. Savoury or sweet. I recommend Nyonya delights restaurant or you can just buy it at street stall vendors in Kampung Baru, KL. Go check that place. Have a good trip here.

At its independence in 1957, the country was called the Federation of Malaya. It became Malaysia when other British colonies, Singapo re and Sabah and Sarawak from the island of Borneo joined the Federation in 1963. In 1965 with mutual consent, Singapore left the Federation to become the Republic of Singapore. It was like a messy divorce but it eventually allowed both countries to prosper together without ethnic problems such as in former Yugoslavia or in Sri Lanka.
Penang Curry? Perhaps you mean Nasi Kandar which is famous and a must try dish in Penang. I hope you will be less clueless after this😂
