Tip, if you have more than 20 flint, there is a goron with glasses in Bedrock Bistro (I think that’s the name) give you 1000 rupees for every 20 flint
Edit: for a better chance of getting 1000 rupees, turn in 100 pieces of flint. I said 20 because I got lucky and I only did it once. My bad.

There are floating islands full of luminous stone with a bit of zonaite on them too. So there are some nice areas to get some luminous stone

Once you get at least one of the gem you want use a multishot bow to dupe them in tobio's hollow chasm

The one problem with this strategy is if you want to upgrade all armor to max, you'll need over 400 luminous stone which is probably more than you'll pick up without grinding.
