Asalamalaikum

Thanks for joining me in Tangier.

This was my first ever trip to the North of Morocco and this beautiful City.

The first thing I did free dropping my bags off to the rid I was staying was to get on the Coty tour bus.

There are 2 tours and the price for a 48hr ticket is 130dh.
Great Value for money!

The City tour I’m sure is self explanatory but the Blue tour which takes you outside the city to the Cap Spartel lighthouse and it’s nature reserve and also the Hercules Cave.
There are various other stops so see the link below for full details:-

I stayed in the middle of the Medina and personally found it was the best location for not just access to the shops in the medina, restaurants & cafes but also never too far away from accessing transport to get about.
The beach and marina are just a 10 minute walk away.

The local buses are frequent and also cheap at 4dh.

I did also flag taxi’s and they all put the meter on without being asked.

There are 2 taxi apps, InDrive & Careem which I used and they work similarly to Uber.

This is where the Mediterranean and Atlantic meet & closest to point to Europe

I arrived by a plane but many from Europe make the short ferry crossing come by via Tariffa in Spain.
If do you arrive by ferry, when you land at the port from there you take a short walk to the historic quarter where the life of locals is played out.

This city seems to have a great balance between the alleyways of old souks and a medina but then the beach is just a 10 minute walk away.

To this coastal city which has a lot of Spanish influence

I wasn’t aware the city was so large & Tangier is home to around one million people.
But getting around to see some of the ‘things to do’ in th city is not a daunting as it may as most places of interest are close by to each other or a short taxi ride away.

After spending 2 days here I want to come back and explore some more
it does captivate you and does have plenty more to offer visitors
making them return again and again.

Let me know in the comments what you enjoyed about the video and if you have visited before did this bring back good memories.

Thanks for watching and look out for the next video coming soon…

Very nice and well filmed video of Tangier Pakoraman!

I will definitely visit Tangier on the back of your video.

However, some constructive feedback - could you please put more serene music in your videos, and play it lightly in the background... at the moment your music is a bit loud and a bit overpowering - which takes away from focusing on the videos...

I think some subtle background music will enhance your videos even more!

Otherwise keep up the great work👍

This is a super-cool video. I am so glad you captured the bus ride up the hills. I am getting that is the open-top RED bus tour? Please confirm when you get a chance. Another quick question. If I had only 6 hours in Tangier, but a decent amount of time in the rest of Morocco, should I prioritize Cap Spartel? It seems like something very different from anythng I'd experience in places like Marrakech, Imlil, or Essouira. Thoughts? Thank you in advance.
