When solving complex problems, I use the Divide and conquer method. Breaking down the bigger problems into smaller pieces and then tackling each mystery puzzle one at a time. This helps me feel less overwhelmed. However, In hindsight sometimes I got too engrossed in one tiny chunk that I shouldn't have.

Kindly comment if the expression has been used correctly.

When you use could have, would have, should have etc, then you dont need to use in hindsight...its quite redundant i think. people still use the expression to prolong the conversation because they are bored to death.
