I used to hang out with famed stuntman Bud Ekins back in the day. He was Steve McQueen’s stunt double in many films, most notably The Great Escape and Bullitt. In Animal House, Bud drove the Eat Me-Deathmobile featured in the parade and performed all of its stunts. This was Bud’s last movie before he retired from active stunt work and spent the rest of his career as a stunt coordinator.

That scene where 'Flounder' gave the horse a heart attack. That was actually filmed in the REAL DEAN'S OFFICE of the University. In the movie, it was Dean Wormer's office.

The guitar that Belushi smashed into the wall at the Delta house party, actually belonged to the actor who was playing it. That scene was COMPLETELY UN-SCRIPTED. Belushi improvised it ON THE SPOT.
