Imagine having to wait 11 months for approval to put a muffler on your car, or acoustic tiles in your house.

It probably because they want them registered and get that money, before the Supreme Court decides suppressors don't need to be on the NFA 😂

I just find it highly suspicious that is occurring. I sense an ulterior motive on the part of the ATF.

I am guessing the ATF knows that suppressors are about to be taken off of the NFA list, so they are trying to make as much money as they can.

A friend of mine did three Form 4’s for SBR’s a few months ago and they all came through approved in 3 weeks. His FFL was blown away. Said he had never seen anything like it before.

So good to hear that ATF is now providing better service in the infringement of our 2A “rights.”

There should be no ATF and there should be no Form 4. Infringing on a person's right to own a gun or own personal property is not the job of the Federal Government (unless, of course, it's tyrannical).

I have one with 1 week. Close friend AT the FFL was 48 hours.
This is great, but also extremely scary. The ATF doesn't do anything positive for gun owners without a catch. I hope i'm wrong, but creeps me out...

I understand why people would want suppressors but I'd hate to be the next victim of a 6am no knock raid because the ATF changes their mind again

Thanks for the video. I'm now part of the 48hr Form 4 approval club! I submitted my form 4 via E-File (as an individual) Monday 3/11 and received approval Wednesday 3/13. Came home with my suppressor in two days! (last one took over 8 months!) With approvals this quick - my suppressor collection can get expensive just as quick 🙂

Hum, change of tactics I see…
1. Approve F4’s faster
2. Entice more 2A people to purchase such items
3. Get a bigger registry of gun owners.

After 33 yrs in law enforcement and dealing with a lot of bad people with guns i never ran into one that had a suppressor. Much more difficult and uncomfortable sticking a Glock with a suppressor in your pants!
At the range it sure would be nice if more guns were suppressed.
Europe looks at suppressors much differently than the USA.

I'm in Ct and filed through a kiosk in mid-May 2023 and am STILL WAITING!!! ANd I've NEVER had to wait more than 5 minutes for a 4473 and had more than 7 federal agencies clear me during my lifetime, including FBI, DIA, NSA, USN.

The ATF can’t collect “taxes” until you have completed and recieved your item, that’s why streamlined the process.

Would love to have a suppressor. Will never buy one as long as I have to ask for permission and get on a list for one.

It will be even better when there's no Tax Stamp on hearing protection. I'll wait until then.
