Here in the southern US this time of year you can get a whopper of a watermelon at any number of roadside stands for $5-10 USD tops. No Godzilla types

In Pakistan it cost USD 1.50 dollar to purchase a water melon approximately 6 kg. It is roughly 0.25 USD per KG.

Another reason i can't move to Japan. I LOVE watermelon and strawberry seasons and don't want to sell a limb to get them.
Here in Germany the price got Up and it's still 99cent per kg. I Buy a Big 3-5kg one every week >< Till seasons is over xD.
