Peaceful protest Hout Bay
Показать описание
Today, 28 June, the community of Hangberg came together and had a peaceful march towards the local Hout Bay police station, until they were stopped in their tracks by several police officers of SAPS, Metro Police and Law Enforcement en route to the station. The community members were refused to continue the march to their destination, due to breaking lockdown regulations. Efforts were made to contact City of Cape Town officials, including Councillor Rob Quintas and JP Smith. Coincidentally, no one was available.
The Hangberg community leaders handed over a peace memorandum against evictions to Superintendent Stefanus of SAPS, when City of Cape Town officials failed to show up.
