my dog, chavela, was put down just yesterday on april 28th, 2023. she was 16 years old in human years and lived an amazing long life. she was there since the day i was born and we both grew up together, she used to guard me when i was little, and used to be the funniest dog anyone has ever known. she was a sassy, clumsy, smart dog that always made the day much more brighter. so many years spent with her and although her final days were quiet, her presence was always loud. with her gone it's so quiet and eerie no longer hearing the pitter patter of her paws on the kitchen floor. this song was played in the car when we left the vet after she was put to sleep. it was a bittersweet ending in our hearts, she's no longer with us but she's happy and no longer suffering. but god, this things i'd do just to hold her one last time. my whole youtube page has a bunch of videos from the past, and it makes me smile seeing how she was an amazing dog. godspeed, chavela. i'll always love and remember you. always.
