The narrative needs to be focused on reversing the inequality caused by neoliberalism. The more of the country’s assets you own, the more tax you should pay. Simple as. Need to start shifting taxation away from income and towards wealth. The super rich either stay and pay up, or they sell, leave, and those assets get redistributed

The idea that anyone in our political system exclusively or primarily champions social issues is just absurd. Even the furthest left people in politics at most push back against the active campaign by the right to distract and divide by scapegoating marginalized and powerless groups, but they still primarily champion economic changes we need. Anyone saying that Democrats or Progressives focus too much on social issues is either not paying attention and or just too blinded by their own susceptibility to being drawn into the rights attempts to distract and divide with ignorance, hate, and irrational fear.

The voters who swung swung on the economy. Gaza was a big one for primarily younger voters, so that’s another factor for Harris running several millions short of 2020.

But when voters vote directly on policy… even Missourians support raising the minimum wage, _some_ guaranteed leave, and codifying the right to choose. And Nebraskans came significantly closer than their redness would make you think as well.
