The interviews with Rose completely changed how I see the Nixon administration. It didn't make me like or dislike Nixon more (Rose was supprisingly non-adversarial after the Watergate talk), but it added a great deal of depth to my understanding of what he wanted to do with his time in office. He, like Eisenhower, was constantly trying to think forty years ahead. This was not an evil man; this was a man.
