A wonderful reflection on John's scripture. The first of many miracles, which may not seem as having a great impact, but nonetheless, very significant as you explained in your reflection. Everything that Jesus did was wonderfully orchestrated in God's time. His telling of the parables, His healings, the occasions of His interactions with the disciples, all were performed at just the right time to make the correct impact on the journey that Christ was traveling to Calvary. When we look at the way God orchestrated this plan for executing a new covenant with His people, jew and gentile, I cannot but wonder why it is so hard for us to accept that God's will for us exist, and it is up to us to accept it. The only stumbling block that I can see is our reluctance to a commitment that we don't feel comfortable with. What is there not to be comfortable with? Is it love? After all, that is what God's new covenant with us is all about! " Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and all your mind ", and the second of which, " Love your neighbor as you love yourself. " In His new covenant, God promises to those who believe in His Son, Jesus Christ, forgiveness of their sins and a rebirth of communion with Him through the Holy Spirit. The most important thing to remember here is that, He is giving the opportunity to renew our faith to each one of us individually. No longer would those who were faithful to his laws be included in His punishment, as He had previously done. That was the importance of Christ death on the cross. It paid a sindebt for all of us, there by letting each of us to be accountable for our own actions. God doesn't take away anything from our lives, quite the opposite, He can enhance a life with any who will surrender their life, and take up the cross, and follow Him. We all may think that we are doing just fine in this life, but imagine if you will, what kind of life you would have if you had Jesus in your life. If you had an understanding of the phrase, "Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Praise Him all creatures here below! Praise Him above ye heavenly host!, Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!" These are not just words, but they are a thanksgiving for the bountiful blessings that God so freely offers to those who are faithful and obedient to His will! What we look at as a miracle, is not that amazing to a committed relationship with the Father. For through our love and obedience, "God will take care of you." Amen🙏💖
