Its honestly the best to go on the Matterhorn at night. It feels more epic and intense. The chilly breeze, fast winds, and cold smell make the ride more enjoyable at night

I actually listened to this music loop this summer as I walked through the majestic Swiss Alps mountain town of Zermatt and awed in person at the real-life Matterhorn. This soundtrack was the perfect fit for the moment as I completed a bucket list item of seeing the real Matterhorn in person, partially harkened from my memories of riding the Matterhorn at Disneyland.

I like the matterhorn at night beacause the music and theming around the queue makes you feel warm and cozy, but then you get on the ride and feel the cold breze rushing at your face.

My grandpa helped build the exterior of the Matterhorn . He's got around a year left in him or so. I wonder how many of Matterhorn team are still alive.

This ride as a whole is incredibly nostalgic, it was the first roller coaster I ever rode, I don’t remember riding it in 2011, but the height requirement was much lower back then with the old bobsleds, so I didn’t get to ride this until 2013 & I was terrified, but I rode it & I fell in love. (Also the cast member that was operating the ride gave me a sticker for conquering my fear) this whole ride is nostalgic for me, the queue, the bobsleds, the safety spiel, the loud chain lift, the roughness of the ride, Harold’s roar (especially the old one), watching a billion POVs of the ride, listening to this video on loop for hours, all of it. I remember in Kindergarten I had a birthday that was themed to the Matterhorn, & I remember on the playground I would pretend to ride the Matterhorn with my old friend, this is such a great ride that still holds up to me, I always make it a point to ride this one when ever I’m at Disneyland for the sentimental value alone, & how it started my coaster journey (I’m now a coaster enthusiast, & I’m still a Disney fan as well) this ride always puts a tear in my eye
