Performed live during a Mother's Day Concert in Pyongyang (ca. 2012). As you know, North Korea has friendly relations with the German Democratic Republic where the song Mutter was written.

If you have a shortwave radio you can tune into to a 1 hour English broadcast of Radio North Korea starting at 1 AM UTC on 9435 kHz. It's a true time warp into a totally different reality. For me a definite flash back to old communist radio formats of the 1970s. But it has its own flavor totally unique to itself. Especially the music.

Nonsense! The lyrics were written by Till Lindemann who was born in the GDR but the lyrics were written in 2002 and the GDR hadn't existed for 12 years.
But apparently Kim Jong Un is a Rammstein fan.

Mutter was not written in GDR, it was written in the Federal Republic of Germany. GDR is a non existing state. It ended in 1990.
