The Kleshas are a foundational concept that underlies yogic practice. Through purifying or removing the Kleshas, we can begin to experience real peace and harmony - the union of yoga itself.

🎶🎵While in this world,

I think I'll
take my klesh as

(I'm still figuring out the words)

What functionality it serves/served. My expectation is there with cinnamon and nutritional yeast, and of course coffee. They are like functional kleshas for me, just like chocolate which has been studied to have its cognitive benefits too

Thank you for your explaination, very insightful! Can you maybe elaborate on how to overcome these Klesha's and what this means in our yoga practice?

Do you have any recommended videos for a beginner (like very new) in yoga? Hinduism, Buddhism, and yoga as a form of connection to spirit, others, and the universe have always interested me. I was raised in a catholic household and it never resonated with me. Death has never struck me as sad when it was affiliated with family ("animals" are a little different to me, I cry my eyes out when any that I've bonded with have moved along). I found out today that the "sins" are called kelshas, was looking for the eastern equivalent of the seven deadly sins, and found your video. Been feeling like i need a change in some aspects of life, been too focused on me and things that literally mean nothing in the grand scheme of things. Meditation and i suppose yoga (never realized the correlation with yoga to Hinduism and Buddhism) i am willing to try. Rwdirecting focus on my career, self, family, goals, or love life have not done anything. Trying to balance them as well has always led to one or multiple gaining more control than the other. Haven't really been happy about anything in years. Only time I find that "happiness" or "bliss of existence for existences' sake" is on magic mushrooms.

Guess this asking for help isn't just pinpointed to the guy that made the video. This question goes for anyone that can answer. If you can relate too, that is especially appreciated. Hope yall had a killer new year and got to enjoy some quality family time over the holidays.

Can you please tell me how to follow on to this video with more information? Like you said that each of these Kaleshas are worth an hour of description. How can I get the more in length details of these Kaleshas? Thanks you!
