At my local indoor flying club five of us have now got the Eachine E120 or something similar and they are just easy to use fun. They have other copters and indoor fixed wings too but these little helis are now making an appearance as well. So what some may consider is a toy makes me smile because seasoned veterans are getting them. If it flies and you have fun without worrying about crashing it, then you can see why.

FW200 very expensive but it is tough. Have crashed it a couple times and only had to replace the safety nut. Blade 230s is awesome learning helicopter. Safe works great. I have the Blade 360 now and she's just all around my best helicopter and top favorite. I have the YXZNRC F09 Blackhawk and this is my favorite scale helicopter.

Glad to see that some of these helis have adopted 'easy to fly' features like a lot of the drones have. One joke used to be that you fly an RC helicopter over to the spot where it crashes. The problem used to be that you ended up spending more time rebuilding them than actually flying them. I've tried in the distant past to fly them and ended back in the world of the fixed wing.

Hmm beginner friendly to me means cheap, easy to repair and extremely sturdy -> Meet the XK110 which costs like 50 bucks on sale w.o. radio (can be bound to a TX16S for example). It´s a full collective pitch heli with also a beginner mode, meaning its well capable to do 3D.
Its basically a real life Heli Simulator for cheap money, thats truely a beginner helicopter!

Great review, just ordered e120. Wish I had a heli like this when I started this hobby twenty some years ago.

I bought the e120 because of you guys. Great heli with long flight time. But the omphobby M1 has to be on this list. It is number 1 for most YouTubers

GREAT CHOICES!! Helicopters DO blow your mind and that's EXACTLY why I don't fly them; I DO have an indoors heli I have yet to fly!! On the other hand, my mind gets BLOWN watching a KEURIG make my coffee, duh!! Thanks Saylors for an enlightening video!! 💟👍😘

I used to have one many years ago. No camera or hovering/stability software on it. Man they are hard to fly and very a lot, broke tail rotors....want to get back into it now that I have lots of knowledge about batteries (mAh, C-rates). Battery University is an amazing resource, tells you all about diff types of batts and their care/use. That E120 grey helicopter looks awesome too. Realistic!

Blade 450X is my sentimental favorite - my friends and I try to fly to scale and set up real challenges with small trees obstacles and small areas to land, hold and take of from iykwim when we aren't flying our gliders by the ocean cliffs with a stiff onshore wind ; P

5-10mph winds is a REAL over-exaggeration. Try 2-4mph wind MAX my friend. Battery life is long on this helicopter and yes it is good for beginners because of all the safety features. However, i still feel people should learn on a coaxial 3.5 channel helicopter first. Anything from Syma is ROCK solid in crashes and yes you WILL have crashes. However, the main thing is you will learn controls albeit the hard way. One should never start with a collective pitch helicopter you have to work your way up to that. The same goes for the remote 3.5 and then work your way up to 4, 5, and 6 channel and above.

You guys are making me want to try flying again. That old fuel motor plane that would never start, then my immediate crash put me off this hobby for over 20 years.

That E120 is a brilliant model. They all are, in fairness.
