I have watched this multiple times. Really good both the presentation and the content!

33:00, some users may be familiar with Site Trunking. This is, at least in Motorola systems, the step after the dedicated site controllers are lost (or the connection to those controllers are lost) and before failsoft kicks in at the site level. It works by having one of the control channel repeaters with the "intelli"gence to perform the control function. Also at 38:16, I have never heard of a P25 system that uses voice channel freq lists programmed into the subscribers. Control channels programmed into the subs, yes, but not voice. Voice channels are assigned using explicit or implicit methods. Most common is implicit with explicit used mostly for other band trunking which often has unique offsets. TIA AABC-C is the doc that describes implicit vs explicit using the 16 element band plan table. This static table gets entered into the subscribers and then the subscriber receives a channel number over the CC, then uses that number and the band plan table to calculate the voice channel frequencies. My history on this is limited to Motorola P25, so maybe other manufacturers do it differently.

technological Sustainability. Back in 1979 when our ESDA communications van unit 956 stacked with motorola transceivers funneling allocated bands of frequencies made available to hardwired hardware software enabled four bank switchboard panel capable of unifying ground unit intercom communication on seen command loop

Chris, thanks a million for creating this informative video. What do you recommend for a fire Dept that needs 5 to 10 mile radio coverage over a hilly terrain? Thanks in advance.
