Dr. Mariana Martinez interviews Dr. Daniel Papero.

The idea that humans beings are a part of nature and are interdependent with the rest of creation is not new; less familiar is the notion that the present imbalance between humans and nature impacts the emotional stability of individuals and families. Bowen Center faculty member Dr. Daniel Papero will address this idea which emerged as part of the last of the eight concepts in Bowen family systems theory: societal emotional process. He will walk us through how this idea was formulated as part of the study of families and their adaptation to an ever-changing set of conditions.

The Bowen Center is a non for profit dedicated to the development of Bowen family systems theory into a science of human behavior; to assist individuals, families, communities, and organizations in addressing major life changes through understanding and improvising human relationships.

The center carries out its mission locally, nationally, and internationally through training and online programs, conferences, research, clinical services, and its website and publications. The Bowen Center for the Study of the Family is an educational, research, and clinical center incorporated as a 501©(3) tax-exempt organization in the District of Columbia.
