Rell brothers already confirmed that some fruits will defo be rarer than others pretty sure this was mentioned in movie 2 or 1 i cant remeber they also said fruits sre gonna be hard to contain (no spin system)

Because in one piece it doesn’t mean that the dragon fruit is more rare then say the chop fruit, they are both equally rare

In my opinion, a great idea for a One Piece game would be to make Devil Fruits extremely difficult to obtain. The primary focus should be on mastering Haki and utilizing unique weapons. Haki should be just as powerful as Devil Fruits if trained adequately. If players manage to find a Devil Fruit, they would be among the few rare players, just like in the show. However, a significant concern would be the presence of hackers.

I honestly wouldn't mind if there were rarities. Since just cuz something is rare, doesn't mean it's op. Im more of the opinion that a fruits worth depends more on the user rather than the fruit itself. Since thats also how it was in the anime

But we also have to understand that, *from a combat perspective*, there are fruits which provide more potential than others. (E.g the combat potential of dragon is alot higher in comparison to a fruit like chop). But the caviat is that while you are capable of a lot more with dragon. If you have no clue how to use it. An experienced chop user wouldn't have a hard time putting you to sleep with the fishes.
