Budget 2021: Stamp duty holiday extended to June

The Chancellor Rishi Sunak says the stamp duty holiday on properties worth up to £500,000 will be extended until the end of June.

When will the govt totally abolish the leaseholds, with a leasehold the leasehold buyer is still a lodger. What paying £250000 for a leasehold is a rip off. And besides the stamp duty should be scrapped altogether as well it’s unnecessary cost

This stamp duty is more than 10 years old. But the house price is already more than double. Why not shift price range? Instead of 3% tax between reduce to 1%. reduces from 5% to 3% for next decade. So all buyers won't gamble the deadline and won't push the market up too fast.
