In this video, Adam teaches you why this move should always start the takeaway. The lead shoulder always plays an important role in the takeaway because it allows the golfer to stay connected. Many golfer initiate the take away with their hands which leads to a disconnect and over the top swing. Try these drills and feels to stay connected and on plane.

lead shoulder starting the connected takeaway is the single best thing I have ever learned to do in 40 years of playing golf, appreciate what you do!

I wish my friends don’t find your channel as I am improving and kicking their asses. Finally everything makes sense about golf swing.

From an online lesson with Adam and these videos, I have improved so much. I was stuck in a rut of shanks and slices galore and now I am hitting way more crisp and consistent shots!

I'm amazed at how I can hear the same swing advice 20 times over the course of a year, and yet still learn something new... it's fascinating

Man your videos are on point and easy to understand. The way you teach and explain things is second to none. I don’t think I’ve watched one where I didn’t learn a great feel or thought. Golf is an amazing game very thankful I was exposed to it young.

My biggest struggle with this was only focusing on the left shoulder move away led to my right hip not turning and left side moving towards the ball instead. The explanation of the right pocket moving back and as the left shoulder moves the club back is a great explanation of how it works!

Initiating with the lead shoulder is such a big game changer for me!

Lots of wisdom in this video clip. For one; (driver swing) - bottom should be stable and let arms/hands rotate through. I obviously struggle when trying to get more ‘power’ - having the hips/legs race through the downswing leaving the top half ‘behind’. I love how the golfer explained his swing as well - so easy to absorb. Thank you for the Porzak wisdom ❤❤

Thanks much. Working on that hip bump but what a difference in my golf swing with the takeaway need to buy new clubs🙂

Two things I really love about this video in addition to everything you said, is not turning from ground but instead from shoulder and hip. The other one is holding the club with the right hand and tucking the elbow to the body and addressing the ball to determine the correct distance to the ball. Very nice and I am really enjoying the “straight putt no matter what” 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾. It is my putting alignment practice tool and it just fits in the golf bag perfectly. Love it.

Really sound advice! Going to incorporate this in my swing as I’m changing up by bag for the first time in 3 years.. progression! Golf never stops teaching….

I'm going through a total swing transition right now. Think of Faldo's wrist hinge preset drill from the 90's...that's actually been my swing the past 3 years. Right now my drives are in the gutter. I've researched a bunch of videos by several teachers to encourage me to get back to the normal swing pattern and not rely so much on such a radical wrist hinge at takeaway. All those guys are superb, but can get a little too technical for my taste.THIS however clicked right off the bat, because its so to-the- point. Cannot wait to get back on the range now.
Great advice man, and so glad I found your channel.👍

At address, I noticed that the clubbed is placed next to the ball and it is slightly opened(3:57). Should I do the same?.

Incredible instruction for elite level players, wish i was younger, instead of being almost 70, but i did try the little hip bump move, great with iron's, however I can't for the life of me hit my driver with that pre set move

Can you clarify the alternate feel of trail shoulder blade behind your head. Is this an address feeling or a feeling for the takeaway?
