The "Thumper" 's lack of communication skills and the sheer desperation it's trying to convey through said rudimentary speech strangely makes me feel pity for it...

A lot of some messages were formatted with incorrect punctuation, like.tihs. I just noticed that the title is also formatted like that. This could mean that the monster is the one making these videos. The title “making.friends” combined with the opening section about being a good kid also shows that the monster is trying to understand or connect with people, and given the text messages, has had some success.

so, either the "thumper" is an ACTUAL child of sorts, or is attempting to act like what it THINKS a child acts like. either way, i think the approach of twisting the behaviors of a kid into something more sinister is an idea i rarely see in most horror stuff nowadays. i wonder if the rest of the videos will have something to do with the "good children" slides at the start? excited to see where this goes!

Okay i dont know about you guys but this genuinely kept me up at night.
the idea of this just scares me so much.. like he takes the persona of an old friend, who probably died by the thumpers hand, and he asks for a video call. it cuts to him and then a beating heart. that shit gives me chills

I haven’t seen this mentioned much, but each “death screen” in the series so far along with thumpers canon name being Organator, it seems that whatever this thing is is stealing the organs of the victims, while leaving the body untouched. Love thumpers death screen was the body “appeared” untouched, while here we have everything inside was gone. They’re like two halves of the same report. “The body appeared untouched, it doesn’t make any sense. Everything inside was gone.” This also lends credence to love thumper being a direct sequel to this video.

I love how the entity attempts to communicate, but there’s things like “pleasepleaseplease” and “starving.help” 😭

just imagine the entity staring into the screen and typing so slowly with that spike arms without fingers it's so adorable i can't 😭😭

An entity born behind the screen that may be new to that world in general. Like some fledgling that has fallen out of the nest, and now must make it everyone else's problem. So now we have a baby bird that can peck your face off instead of just gap its beak at you... Feels like it doesn't exactly know what its doing /just yet/ beyond base instinct to feed and trying to decipher that. Almost like it is lost. Its scraping by to find ways to feed and doing so by moving monitor to monitor, doin what it can to be seen so it may 'eat'. This, stumbling into situations and sorta fumbling to get what it wants.

First engagement seemed like it wanted to communicate genuinely with what it had which isn't alot, and the moment the guy was telling it to go away it grew even more ravenous for food... and maybe, if it is some manner of child, upset.

I'm fond of "Thumper" tbh. Excellent work.

Now THIS is a breath of fresh air. Analogue horror has been dying down, being all the same stuff, with few exceptions. You're a perfect example of a diamond in the rough. Thank you for not being boring!

I honestly love the Nostalgic vibe, like a memory long forgotten.

You need to keep it safe, but somethings... lurking.

My interpretation is, the "Thumper" can travel though monitors, and so it tricks people into turning theirs on in order for it to come through it and "feed" on the victim. What happens afterwards, no idea. What the weird tumor/heart was, also no idea

2:47 the pause makes it feel so real and this series is really good and the monster not knowing how to type with spaces was a cool detail since it is a monster after fall

Some things I want mention:

I’m starting to think that love.thumper and making.friends are the same incident. Think about it; Here, we see someone accept a video call with this entity, to which Locust is just standing and twitching. While in love.thumper, the guy I think is the person chatting with it seems to somewhat interact with Locust. That is when Locust finally breaks through the screen and enters the real world. You could say that making.friends is a prequel.

Another thing to note is the music playing when Locust seems to get upset. I don’t know if the messenger hears this or not, but in the case that they do, it’d be a creative idea; With the suggestion that the Locust is a digital being, the idea that it can play music on your device to warn you is pretty cool.

Like some people are saying, Locust might be a child, this is only further proven by the text that says ‘there’s a kid in there’ in the description. Maybe Locust is like a bird that just got out of the nest, if you catch my drift. Maybe because its parents left or it doesn’t have parents, it’s trying to either A: Connect with people to replace the ‘emptiness’. Or the more morbid but slightly on the nose option B: Feed since nothing will feed it, which can be proven by the first ever video starving.help, and how in love.thumper Locust vaguely says ‘I am hungry’. But with the title of that and this video and the hint that it is also how Locust types, perhaps love.thumper is a demand or request, as in it wants you to love it. The hunger is probably a need for said love.

Perhaps the creature is trying to have a genuine relationship with people in the ‘real dimension’. But it seems that because of its uncanny nature (Since it probably has no idea how real people act) people push Locust away, and then it gets angry, and then attacks. But you wanna know what I think about the ending screens? I think they’re the Locust’s words. The Locust saying ‘The body appeared untouched’ might be a form of reassuring itself. But here, it says ‘None of it makes sense, everything inside was gone.’ I think (hear me out) perhaps the creature isn’t able to properly handle being in the real world, so when it breaks into the real world, it’s probably disoriented, or maybe it loses its memory once it goes back to the digital realm, so when it sees what it has done, it probably realizes that it has done what it’s seeing, but is not sure what.

Anyways, TLDR: Locust is a moody attention-starved child with short-term memory loss.

I really like how the piano in the opening segment plays in a sort of key, with some sort of rhythm to it, but it doesn't quite convey being a song. It reminds me of how The Thumper speaks, it knows the words, it holds a general idea on how to string them together, but they aren't quite sentences.

THE FACT THIS WAS MADE BY A 17 YEAR OLD. You have an amazing and creative future ahead. Cant' wait to see what you come up with, horror or anything else.
