Glad you added the clarification on the depreciation expense. Especially if the earnings of a company are dependent on that capital being replaced, then it is indeed a real expense that should be included.

If EBIT excludes interest and taxes then why in formula it is added like earning+interest+tax ?? Pls help

150 out of the top 1500 USA businesses can hardly cover the interest on their debt in the good times notably GE , interest is very very important, its probably the reason IBM keep diluting equity

I don't like them. I think that interest and taxes are a part of a companies true performance. If a company pays a huge load of interest and taxes, then it reveals just the bad financial divisions that company did in the past.
