Hi, my name is Scott O’Sullivan and I am an oyster lawyer. I handle Vibrio Vulnificus cases which, if you know what that word is, it means you’ve been searching for it and you that it’s terrible but let me tell you a little bit about it.
Vibrio Vulnificus is a bacteria that is found in (RAW) oysters, an in particular, that come from the Gulf of Mexico which are warmer waters. This bacteria is the number one seafood borne illness in America and if you’re unlucky enough to eat an oyster that has Vibrio in it, you won’t even know or taste or smell it, but if it gets into your blood system you’ve got a 50% chance of dying and if you live you lose your legs.
It is a horrific bacteria that the industry is well aware of and I’ve been handling cases of Vibrio Vulnificus for, at least the past 15 years or so now and I handle cases around the country.
