If you have synced contacts from the gmail account to your android device then what might happen is if I go here to the contacts you can see there are contacts without any phone number. So, these are the contacts that does not have any phone number and if you want to hide these contacts what you can do is tap on this more option - settings. Go to this option "other call settings". There is an option here "hide contacts without numbers". Enable it. Now if I go back to this contacts, you can see there are no more contact without phone number. All the contacts are there with phone number only.
