Those of us in ICT spend so much of our lives looking towards the future, we often miss proven existing technologies and solutions as we try and stay current with the latest trends.

There has been a series of technologies/solutions that have been developed over the past few years that are often overlooked as catalysts for delivering a carbon neutral ICT operation. We get distracted by the bigger issues and often don't see the easy immediate changes. I will run through six simple proven solutions, that are normally self-funding, that will make immediate changes in the carbon footprint of a typical ICT operation and provide access to a practical step-by-step action plan based on these to enable an ICT operation to hopefully become carbon neutral.
