Cheap Plant Pots: HomeGoods vs. T.J.Maxx vs. DollarTree!

Where do you get your indoor plant pots? I hit up 3 popular stores near me: HomeGoods, T.J.Maxx, and DollarTree to see what the selection and price was...I think you'll be surprised which won the battle!

I ended up getting 4 pots for $36 at T.J.Maxx and 2 hanging pots for $6 in my HomeGoods haul, so a total of 6 pots for $42, which is $7 per pot. I may end up drilling drainage holes in some of these as they're solid bottoms and somewhat glazed, but for now I'll just monitor my watering carefully.

I got most of mine from Goodwill! Most expensive one was $3.

I love when the dollar tree has gardening supplies, it's not always great deals but sometimes there's a cool selection. I got some really thick plastic pots there that are definitely comparable to the $10 ones at home depot. The seeds are cool too, 4 packets for a dollar. There's less seeds in each packet but just for a little home gardening it's nice to build a variety of common staples or just some pretty flowers to spread randomly.

For the $3 hanging pots, you could always paint the outside in black or even tape parts and make a geometric design like the ones you bought!

Rite aid and Walgreens always has good pots also . And they always go 50-70% off . That's where I normally go for mine . Oh and they have drainage holes in them too !!!

Garage sales and Thrift Stores are where I get all of mine. I got three pots for $2.50 yesterday, and used 50 cents worth of paint, baking soda, and jute to transform them into really unique beauties last night. Fun!

I was in ikea with a friend last week and she mistook a $2 trashcan for a $14 planter and honestly what is the difference?

Hands down my favorite place to get pots is the thrift store. The local thrift store always always has tons of brass/copper urns and bowls. They're the look I use in the living room. But also tons of ceramic pots for $4-$8

Great place to buy pots is Goodwill. You just have to keep checking to see what they get in. Especially for plant gifts since everyone likes different colors and types. You find all sorts styles and colors and for great prices.

You’re the best! 😂 Love the breaking the pot and how you must work it into the video!!
You’re Totally intelligent but down to earth, not a bragger, just love your genuineness and info
And thank God you don’t repeat yourself like so many Youtube ppl do.
Thanks for all the great vids.
I can’t afford pots like that tho. Next year I think I’ll make grow bags. Very nice pots though and great info as usual!,

I found some really nice, inexpensive pots at Ross. Most of them did not have drainage holes. But, you can always use them as cover pots.

I like what you potted up. I sort like putting "plain" plants in flashy pots and fancier plants (interesting flowers, showy foliage) in a more demure pot to help show it off.

Just moved to a big city after living in the suburban midwest my whole life and this channel has been so helpful in teaching me how to keep a little bit of green in my apartment.

I'm so glad I watched this video. I bought one pot from Home Depot for $34.88. After watching this video, I went to my TJ Maxx and found 4 gorgeous pots for $34.88. Can you imagine how fast I returned that one pot back to Home Depot? MINUTES!!

If you have a Tuesday Morning, they have great prices on pots.

I personally wouldn’t care how bad Dollar tree is 😂. If it’s plenty big for $1, I’m buying it
