What happened to not letting people be around the baby for 6 weeks while the baby develops an immune system.


A news story from a couple years or so ago where a newborn baby died from Heroes because it contracted it from relatives after it was born...


You can’t have people kissing on newborn babies. The don’t have an immune system...

Like grandma's answer at the end about cocooning if she wasn't allowed to interact with her grandbaby, then she has every right to refuse to babysit. I believe that new mothers can set boundaries when people interact with newborns so these mothers can feel at ease and know their babies are safe and secure.

Heck nawl. When my daughter was born me and her maternal grandmother was very cautious about that stuff. Too many people carry different spirits and energy on them.

Keeping people away from your baby is not meant for close family such as your mother. Especially if she had a C-section she certainly will need assistance

I believe in that. I did not want people hugging my baby. No one can kiss my baby. Actually it is my grandbaby. My daughter feels the same way.! She is protective but I'm worst!

This is NOT new.
It's done in other cultures outside of the West. Usually the grandma or a close relative is there to help..
The mom gets fed like shes the next Christmas main dish .( nourishment)
And she sleeps in while someone's caring for the newborn.
....and early morning( fresh air) is the best time to take the baby outside. Then after a month or so she takes the baby in public .and everyone gets to meet him at his church dedication / or christening bash 🎉🎉🎊🎊

I think maybe once the baby is a few months old u can allow some people to "Sip n See" after they have washed their hands and used hand saniitizer😥

The baby has your antibodies 30 days post partum so your baby is safest during that time I would think 🤔 But then I heard other stories contradicting That! So Idk !

If it's family, come in and first wash your hands, especially for a new born...or few mths old. Babies always have their hands in their mouths, but here u come, meet us at the mall or street and u hold that baby's hand, kissing the mouth...what are u transferring??
