From an Independent who lives in the Morris Park (District 11) section of the Bronx and voted for AOC twice, I've been very disappointed in her since the re-election last year. She *has* been MIA, and this absence was of particular note in my district last week. On the literal day she was pretending to be in handcuffs, we had an important community meeting regarding plans to dump Rikers Island inmates in our community.

The very same day, my street was devastated by a sinkhole the size of a bus which caused subsequent flooding two days later. Because of my street's longstanding underground drainage problem, nearly ever home on the block had our basements flooded with raw sewage, leaving many tenants temporarily homeless. ConEd turned off the gas in some homes, mine included. We had Emergency Management here, Assemblyman Benedetto (D) arrived to show support, and we had the DEP, Morris Park Association and other local politicians advocating for us. No AOC, who claims to stand up for working families.

We needed her help last week, and instead got to see her on the news playing social justice warrior. She's either going to be a virtue signaling aging Tumblrite, or she's going to get her act together and start working for this community again. Which one is it going to be Ms. Occasio Cortez?

So basically she’s too good for her district because she has more important things to do? The hubris… how are you not gonna prioritizing the people that got you in?

You mean I'm not the only one who thinks AOC is a waste of time?

It's good she's not in her district. Otherwise she'll chase away even more good high paying jobs.

These are public servants, not "leaders." This widespread misconception is why NYC is in the shape it is in.

"A position of national leadership" You mean she wants to be an influencer

I bet the people in her district voted for her don’t even notice she’s been absent. She’s too busy elevating herself on the national stage to run for President in 2028.

Had to dig to find something on the circus act, have not gotten my dose of stupid lately. AOC was probably shopping for new crayons and coloring books. She is entertaining.
